Goal

How to prepare and send a .dem, .dem.gz or .dem.zst file for useful analysis.

Recommended method

  • Use a complete competitive demo from FACEIT or matchmaking.

  • Keep the original file when possible: .dem, .dem.gz and .dem.zst are accepted.

  • Do not close the tab while the file is uploading. Analysis continues server-side after that.

  • Once the match exists, the report page updates when AI coaching is ready.

For reliable coaching, upload a recent demo where you played your usual role.

Common issues

  • Old or corrupted file: download a fresh demo.

  • Wrong game or legacy CS:GO format: CS2 analysis can fail.

  • Slow upload: raw demos can be several hundred MB.

After upload

Open Reports or Recent Matches. If the report is not ready yet, wait a few minutes: parsing and AI coaching are separate steps.
